Why Tolerance Matters
Your slicer calculates extrusion volume based on the stated diameter (1.75mm). If actual diameter varies:
- Larger than stated (+0.05mm): Over-extrusion → dimensional inaccuracy, stringing
- Smaller than stated (-0.05mm): Under-extrusion → gaps, weak layers, poor adhesion

How We Achieve ±0.03mm
Our production line uses in-line laser micrometers that measure every meter of filament during extrusion — not sample testing. If any segment exceeds tolerance, that section is automatically flagged and removed. Every spool ships with a Certificate of Analysis documenting the measured diameter range.
Measuring Your Own Filament
- Use a digital micrometer (not calipers — less precise)
- Measure at 5 points around the spool circumference
- Record each measurement
- Pass: all measurements within ±0.03mm of 1.75mm
- Fail: any measurement outside range → contact supplier
