Yes — PLA-based filaments are among the safest materials for indoor printing and are widely used in classrooms, offices, and homes. We provide SDS (Safety Data Sheet) documentation for every material we sell, and our silk, matte, and PLA+ lines are RoHS compliant for consumer environments in the EU and US. Materials & Specs
Standard PLA is a biodegradable base material suitable for prototyping and low-stress applications. PLA+ is a modified blend with impact modifiers that increases toughness by ~60% and reduces warping — recommended for functional parts and production runs. PETG Pro uses diamond-polished die extrusion achieving ±0.03mm diameter tolerance — validated per lot, recommended for print farms running 20+ machines where batch consistency is critical.
Warping in PLA usually traces back to three causes: moisture absorbed into the filament (the most common — spools left open in humid environments print with bubbling and curling), an unprepared print surface (clean and level the bed, and use an adhesive aid for large flat parts), and drafts or cold rooms hitting the part unevenly. If you print in bulk, PLA+ reduces warping further with roughly 60% lower shrinkage than standard PLA. Store your spools vacuum-sealed with desiccant between sessions — our spools ship that way for exactly this reason.
Both are durable engineering filaments, but they specialize differently. PETG offers excellent moisture resistance, good impact strength, and easier printing — the workhorse for functional parts, jigs, and general production. ASA adds UV stability and higher heat resistance, making it the right choice for parts that live outdoors or near heat: sensor enclosures, garden hardware, and automotive components. Most customers start with a small sample batch — typically a handful of spools — to validate color, finish, and feeding on their own machines before committing to production volumes. Yes — custom color matching is one of our core services. We match Pantone and RAL references in our own color lab with spectrophotometry validation (±2% color deviation documented), send a pre-ship sample spool set for your sign-off, and store your color profile for 12 months so every reorder matches the first drop exactly. There is no single number that fits every case, because sample batches, stock colours and custom-matched colours are quoted differently. Shipping & Delivery
Every spool is vacuum-sealed with desiccant inside a moisture-barrier bag, then packed in cartons rated for container freight. This packaging has been validated through 35-day ocean transits to Europe and North America — spools arrive with the same moisture content they left the factory with. Palletized bulk orders also include batch-coded labels on every carton, so your receiving team can trace each spool to its production lot before opening a single bag.
Sample orders ship within 5 business days and typically arrive in Europe or the US within 1-2 weeks by express air. Bulk orders move by sea freight (about 30-40 days door-to-door depending on destination port) or by air for urgent needs — we’ll quote both options so you can balance cost against timeline. All shipments are trackable, and orders are processed through Alibaba with Trade Assurance protection. It depends on whether you are ordering a stock colour or a custom match. Custom colours and OEM orders are scheduled after you approve the pre-ship colour sample, and we keep your colour profile for 12 months so repeat orders move faster. Technical Support
Brittleness is almost always moisture: PLA silently absorbs humidity from open air, and wet filament prints with bubbles, stringing, and layer bonds so weak the part snaps along layer lines. Take a spool that’s been sitting open for a few weeks and listen — a crackling or popping sound during extrusion means moisture. Dry the spool in a filament dryer or a ventilated dry box, and store future spools vacuum-sealed with desiccant. If your spool was never opened and still prints brittle, check your diameter tolerance — inconsistent filament causes inconsistent melting and weak layers. Our spools are laser-measured to ±0.03mm and vacuum-sealed at the factory for this reason.
Inconsistent feeding has two usual suspects. First, diameter variation: filament that swings even slightly above or below spec jams at the feed path or slips in the extruder gears — this is why diameter tolerance (ours is ±0.03mm, laser-checked per spool) matters more than most buyers realize. Second, spool winding: loosely or unevenly wound filament can tangle and stall mid-print. Our spools are machine-wound under controlled tension and laser-measured in-line. If you’re evaluating a supplier, measure a few points along their filament with calipers — variation you can feel by hand will show up as failed prints at scale.
Use a dedicated filament dryer or a ventilated dry box with desiccant — drying time depends on the material and how wet it is, so follow the guidance for your specific filament type. You’ll know it worked when the crackling sound during extrusion disappears and stringing drops noticeably. For prevention between prints, store spools in vacuum-sealed bags with desiccant packs (our spools ship this way) or in a sealed dry box. Print farms running continuous production should feed from a dry box whenever the shop air is humid.
