  • Form submissions: any data you voluntarily enter into our contact forms, including the content of your message and any files you choose to attach (e.g., technical drawings or specification documents).
  • Alibaba platform data: when you communicate with us through our Alibaba store (ycyqkj.en.alibaba.com), your messages, RFQ (Request for Quote) submissions, order data, and any associated metadata are governed by Alibaba's privacy policy in addition to this policy.
  • Communication records: copies of email correspondence, Alibaba chat logs, and records of any support or technical exchange we have with you.

We do not collect, store, or process payment card data. All payment and financial transactions are processed exclusively through Alibaba Trade Assurance, which operates under its own privacy and security policies.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where you voluntarily submit a contact form inquiry or subscribe to communications, we process your data on the basis of your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent.   • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): when you place an order through our Alibaba store, we process the necessary data to fulfill that contract — including order processing, shipment, invoicing, customs clearance, and after-sales support.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): we process browsing data (IP address, pages visited, session duration) via analytics cookies to improve our website and understand visitor behaviour. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving our online presence, balanced against your rights and expectations of privacy. We do not use this data for profiling or automated decisions that would significantly affect you.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): we retain certain records (invoices, shipping documents, customs declarations) as required by applicable law, including Chinese commercial law and EU tax and trade regulations.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies to ensure core functionality and to gather basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.

Essential cookies (always active): These cookies are necessary for the basic operation of our website, including session management, security, and language preference (EN/ZH). They are not optional and cannot be disabled without making the site unusable.

Analytics cookies (optional, consent-gated): We use a minimal analytics setup — typically a privacy-respecting, self-hosted or third-party tool such as Google Analytics in anonymized mode — to collect aggregated, non-personal browsing statistics (page views, referral sources, session duration). These cookies are only activated after you provide explicit consent through our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent or change your preference at any time.

Campaign source information (first-party, no third party involved): when you arrive from a link that carries campaign parameters (for example a post on a social platform), we store the channel and campaign name in your browser's local storage so that if you later submit an inquiry we can tell which channel produced it. This value contains no personal identifier, is never shared with third parties or used for advertising, expires after 90 days, and is only transmitted to us as part of a form you choose to submit. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

Third-party service cookies:

  • Google Analytics: if enabled with your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies (__ga, __gid, __gat) to collect pseudonymized data about how you use our site. Google may combine this data with other data it already holds. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by withdrawing cookie consent.
  • Alibaba platform: when you navigate from our website to our Alibaba store or engage with us through Alibaba's messaging system, Alibaba's own cookies and data practices apply. We encourage you to review Alibaba's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. The following specific retention periods apply:

  • Inquiry form submissions: 24 months from the date of submission, for customer follow-up and relationship management purposes. After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
  • Order and transaction records: 7 years from the date of transaction, as required by Chinese commercial law and applicable tax and trade regulations for financial record-keeping.
  • Shipping and customs documentation: 7 years, to comply with import/export regulations in China and the destinations where we ship.
  • Email correspondence: 3 years from the date of the last communication, unless a business relationship or active order is ongoing.
  • Alibaba platform data: governed by Alibaba's data retention policies. Please refer to Alibaba's privacy policy for details.
  • Analytics data (anonymized/pseudonymized): up to 26 months for aggregated site usage statistics.
  • Cookie consent records: 5 years from the date of consent, to demonstrate compliance in the event of a regulatory inquiry.
  • Campaign source information (browser storage): up to 90 days in your browser, and retained with an inquiry record for the same period as the correspondence it belongs to.

When the retention period expires, data is securely erased or anonymized unless we have a legitimate reason or legal obligation to retain it longer.

Data Subject Rights

As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@yiqiu3d.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

  • Right of access (Art. 15): you may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including the purposes of processing, the categories of data, recipients, and retention periods.

  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): you may request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal obligations, active contractual relationships).   • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: if you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence. In the EU, you may contact the Data Protection Authority (DPA) of your Member State.

International Data Transfers

Yiqiu3D is headquartered in Yichang, Hubei, China. Personal data collected from visitors and customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other jurisdictions with data protection laws may be transferred to and processed in China, which is a country outside the EEA.

Transfer mechanisms: where personal data is transferred from the EEA to China, we rely on the following legal mechanisms as applicable under GDPR Chapter V:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): where required, we use EU Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure an adequate level of protection for international data transfers.
  • EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) / adequacy decisions: for any transfers to third countries that have received an adequacy decision from the European Commission, we rely on that adequacy decision as the legal basis for the transfer.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 49 derogations): for one-off transfers where SCCs are not in place, we may rely on the derogation for transfers necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject, or the derogation for compelling legitimate interests, as documented in our internal transfer impact assessments.

Alibaba platform transfers: when you interact with us through our Alibaba store, Alibaba may transfer and process your data in accordance with its own international data transfer mechanisms. We encourage you to review Alibaba's GDPR compliance information and data transfer policies.

Upon request, we can provide additional details about the specific safeguards in place for any international data transfer affecting your personal data.

Data Security

Our website, products, and services are directed at businesses and professionals in the B2B 3D printing industry. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16.
